Bringing a fresh dose of personality to Netflix's social universe

The Task

In collaboration with Netflix, our goal was to reimagine their sticker collection for social media, infusing it with the digital dynamism and forward-thinking energy Netflix is known for. The challenge: craft a versatile set that captures Netflix's expressive, ever-evolving social presence.

The Idea

We aimed to make the sticker pack both current and dynamic, with a touch of the unexpected. Simple icons evolved into styled 3D animations that are age-agnostic but packed with personality. We explored varied material textures and lighting approaches to create three distinct directions: one embracing hyper-real chromatic textures, another reflecting the classic Netflix dopamine hit with a surreal twist, and a third focusing on bold, tactile materiality.

The Outcome

We moved forward with the concept inspired by that iconic dopamine hit, brought to life through a material direction we coined Sensory Synthetic. This approach added bold tactility with a plastic-like texture that practically invited you to reach out and touch. The stickers themselves spanned objects from the Netflix universe, including platform buttons, reimagined reaction emojis, and surreal interpretations of Netflix-related icons—like the beloved sofa—crafted to add a touch of the unexpected.
